LGBTQA3 Gays in Space Drag Show Marketing

Gays in Space Drag Show Marketing

University of Oregon’s LGBTQA3 (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Asexual, Aromantic, and Agender) student organization coordinates an annual Drag show during the school year’s Winter term. This event serves as a fundraiser to collect money for a cause/charity chosen by the members of its organization. Marketing consisted of a digital image display on campus, a Facebook event with a custom banner, printed posters and table tents.

Gays in Space

The theme chosen for 2017 was Gays in Space. The LGBTQA3 helped to fund the Oregon Student Association as they planned to send students to the Capital in Salem, OR to speak on the importance of passing the bill, HB 2845. The bill will make Ethnic Studies and Queer Inclusive curriculum mandatory for K-12 students in Oregon. Local drag performers and students were invited to perform. The year’s hosts were Karress Ann Slaughter (voted Eugene Weekly’s 2016-17 Best Drag Queen) and Facisha Farce.
