LGBTQA3 Pride Week Keynote Speaker Marketing

Pride Week Keynote Speaker Marketing

University of Oregon’s LGBTQA3 (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Asexual, Aromantic, and Agender) student organization celebrates LGBT+ pride every year by coordinating a week of events. The main event of this week is its annually invited keynote speaker. Marketing consisted of a digital image display on campus, a Facebook event with a custom banner, printed posters and table tents. The design contains the rainbow flag as many of the LGBTQA’s marketing materials often includes.

About the Speaker

During 2017’s Pride Week Keynote Speaker event, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy was invited. She is an iconic figure in the LGBT+ community. She is a transgender woman of color activist who participated in the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City. Today she works as the Executive Director of the Transgender GenderVariant Intersex Justice Project. Miss Major is known for her phrase, “I am still f***ing here”. This is a bold battle cry for the trans community, therefore, it was imperative to include this statement on the marketing for the event.
